Vintage button fastener by Ellioitt Heaton Peninsular Corp.

Button Fastener-
Offered is a vintage plier type button fastener marked "Elliott Heaton Peninsular Corp., Boston, Mass".  Measures 10" long & retains some original black finish.  Has a spring loaded U shaped plunger that comes down on a 3/8" diam anvil.  Has 1/2" adjustable clearance between plunger & anvil.  Not sure what type button this is for, possibly something to do with leather as this came from a leather worker.  Space between plunger legs is 1/4".   A unique special use old tool, well marked in good condition.  I would give this a tool condition rating of Exc.
