    The one year anniversary cover of Aurora7, the May 23, 1962 launch of Mercury Atlas 7 space flight piloted by Scott Carpenter, the 6th man in space. To commemorate the USS Carrier Intrepid and it’s pick up of Scott Carpenter and John Glenn for Armed Forces week and Parade in New York City.
    Gorgeous cover with hand drawn notations of the event, sign and handstamp dated Scott Carpenter and “May 23, 1963” on right side.
    This cover was given to me about 40 years ago by my Astronaut friend Donn Eisele (Apollo 7 Moon module pilot) and friend of Scott Carpenter who knew I collected unusual covers.
