    Description

    This Jurassic  fossil belongs to the Echinoid family,
    Pygurus marmonti.
    These beautiful creatures can still be found today living in the warm, turbulent waters of seas and oceans.
    The fossil has been highly polished to show off the 5 beautiful 'petals' of the star as well as the lovely golden color. Concentric growth rings are visible encircling the specimen. The urchin is 2.75 inches in diameter.
