This listing is for one 14k Yellow Gold Filled Neckwire- Hand sculpted using 12 gauge wire.
This is the thickest neckwire that I make and very sturdy.
12 gauge is the thickest neckwire that I make and feels very sturdy for the heaviest of pendants. If you you are looking for a thinner gauge neckwire I also offer 18, 16, & 14 gauge. (offered in other listings).
12 gauge wire is 2.05mm
I make the neckwires custom to order. I can do half sizes and also come close on quarter sizes if you contact me and ask. I have been making and selling neckwires on Ebay since 2003 as Unique Jewel Designs. The neckwires are made by hand us a single piece of wire cut to a customized length and hand formed. The neckwires are hand formed all the way through the hook and loop clasp using only my hands, wire cutters, & pliers, then hand polished to shine.
These neckwires work out really great and hold up well as long as you care for them properly. (meaning it may look funky if you cram it in your purse all day)
The type of wire I use is just hard enough to make a good neckwire and also has a little give for custom adjusting to your neckline. You can gently hand manipulate the wire to form around your neck for best comfort. Which is my favorite part about these. Although my neckwire looks terrible laying off of my neck, when I put it on it hugs all of my necks contours perfectly and looks great. Just a little hand polishing with a cotton cloth will keep it shiny and clean.
You choose the length needed,  I will custom make it to fit your size.

What length will fit you best?
To help you find the right size in inches.... I prefer to wear mine closely-fitted to my neck. I suggest you measure loosely around your neck right around the soft area just above the collarbone then add 1/2 inch. If you like it closely fitted, is is the size you want, you can add an inch or two for a looser fit.  It is all your preference. If the tape measure feels too tight, the neckwire will be too tight. If you are not sure, it is always better to go a little too big than a little too small. Hope this helps.
About the wire
WIRE THICKNESS is measured in gauges.  The thickness of the wire increases as the gauge number decreases. (ex. 18 gauge wire is thicker than 20 gauge wire, 20gauge wire is thicker than 22 gauge wire, etc.).  the wire also comes in square, round, half-round shape. Although they are the same measurement in (mm), Square seems to be the thickest and sturdiest of the 3 shapes followed closely by round, then half round.  Half round is only half the thickness so it  is the least sturdy upon comparing equal gauges.
(18ga =1.02mm)    (16ga = 1.29mm)   (14ga = 1.63mm)   (12ga = 2.05mm)

Many of these Heirloom pieces are still handed down through generations and are considered highly collectible.  Most pieces made from Gold-filled wire will last for generations, if treated and cared for like fine gold.  It is nearly impossible to distinguish 14kt gold-filled wire from 14kt gold wire.  Gold-filled jewelry is NOT costume jewelry, but rather fine jewelry that can be beautifully worn for a lifetime.
Jewelry created from gold filled wire is considered lifetime jewelry.  This is jeweler quality wire.
How Gold-Filled Wire is Made
14k gold filled is also known as rolled gold or 14/20 gold. This is not to be confused with gold plate. Gold filled wire is very durable and contains 100 times more gold than gold plate. It is manufactured by a process that binds a layer of gold to a semi-precious metal, creating a finish of gold that does not scratch off or tarnish like gold plate.
14kt gold-filled wire is made by forming a tube of solid 14kt gold that is filled with a base metal. The gold is bonded to the base metal with heat and pressure. The base metal is also gold in color and is made up of almost the same mixture of metals (usually a brass alloy) used to bring 24kt gold down to 14kt, 10kt, etc. The exterior of the product is solid 14kt gold and everything you can see or touch is a solid layer of 14kt gold.  This is why it will never tarnish, chip or wear off.
This is a very sophisticated process and only a few mills in the world do it. There is also a US law requiring that any gold filled wire must be at least 1/20 pure gold by weight. My wire meets that standard.

Shipping
I typically ship within 1-3 business days of completed payment. If you pay with an E-check, your purchase will ship after payment is cleared. I ship via US Postal Service service mainly.  You can expect your product within 2-7 days after shipment, depending on your location.  You can find your tracking number in your Ebay sales record.
Double check that the address you have listed with Paypal is a valid shipping address.  If a package is returned to me as undeliverable,

will cover the shipping costs to re-ship to a valid address.

International orders please contact me for an estimate on shipping prior to purchasing.  With so many changes to the USPS international shipping fees, it is just too hard to keep current. If  your item is damaged upon receipt, you must contact me within 24 hours of delivery.
All returns must be made within 14 days. You will receive a credit back to your Paypal account for the purchase price minus the shipping fees and a 15% restocking fee or an exchange if preferred.
If your item was a "free shipping" item and you return it...I will deduct my actual shipping costs paid when refunding your purchase.
